Novel in Progress: Ned: A Chronicle of a Marriage.
Summary: Two English veterans of the First World War come to America to rebuild their lives. Beginning with his reunion with Ned in the fall of 1922, Frederick recounts the story of their lifelong friendship and love and journeys of faith. Gatsby's quest for the green light merges with the Celtic legend of the Land of Youth, and Paul Bunyan meets Robin Hood in the mythic yearning for a world in which everything will soon be set to rights.
The soundbite version: Life story of two same-sex childhood sweethearts.
